- For the chicken
2 cups cooking oil
1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts
1/2 cup flour
1 teaspoon salt, divided
½ teaspoon pepper, divided
2 eggs, beaten
1 tablespoon hot sauce
2 cups breadcrumbs
- For the sandwich
3-4 burger buns
3-4 slices green leaf lettuce
1 beefsteak tomato, thinly sliced
1 small red onion, thinly sliced
Directions
- Add the oil to a large, deep skillet. Turn to medium heat and allow to heat to 350°F.
- Place the flour, ½ teaspoon salt, and ¼ teaspoon pepper in a shallow bowl. In a second shallow bowl mix the egg and hot sauce. In a third shallow bowl mix the breadcrumbs with the remaining salt and pepper.
- Dredge each chicken breast in flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs.
- When the oil is heated fry each piece of chicken individually for 3-5 minutes per side until internal temperature 165°F is reached. Set aside on a paper towel lined plate to drain.
- Assemble the sandwiches. Place lettuce, tomato, and onion on the bottom bun. Add a chicken breast and top generously with Good Foods Creamy Cheddar Jalapeño with Uncured Bacon Dip. Finish with the top bun.
