Instructions

Caramelized Onion Gruyere Patty Melt:
  1. Season patties with salt and pepper. Cook on a flat-top or skillet until golden brown, flip and cook to desired doneness. Add 2 slices of Swiss or provolone and let melt.
  2. Butter one side of each slice of rye bread, then place buttered-side down on a hot griddle.

  4. Place the cheesy beef patty onto one slice of toasted bread.
  5. Top with the second slice, spread-side in.
